Saturday’s Lunch

On the way home from the egg hunt, I was feeling absolutely exhausted. Almost feverishly achy and beyond tired. With one sizeable (though mostly painless) lesion, and some weirdness happening on my bottom lip, I was worried about what this might mean for the direction I’m heading with this flare. I was able to muster up enough energy to prepare this stir fry for lunch. I was motivated to get some solid nutrition in my body since I know I need it to combat what’s happening.

There’s tempeh, garlic, ginger, olive oil, broccoli, and rainbow peppers in there. The sauce is Bragg’s liquid aminos, honey, and olive oil. I served it on a bed of brown rice and topped it off with pine nuts for some added fat, protein, and calories.

I also juiced a green pepper, yellow pepper, lots of celery, and two cucumbers. And drank that while I rocked my daughter (and myself) to sleep. Not sure if it was the nap or the juice, probably both… but when I woke up I was recharged and functioning well again. What a relief. I really thought everything was heading downhill.

Later in the evening, I got really tired again. Not as bad as earlier, but energy levels have definitely been a roller coaster today. Wonder if this has anything to do with the hormone supplements I started yesterday.
