Saturday’s Dinner

Decided to take baby girl for her first ice skating experience. It was so much fun, though Daddy’s back barely survived.

I was exhausted and fell asleep in the car on the way home. Apparently with my mouth open. Which caused my mouth to kind of dry out a bit- you know how that happens. But with what’s inside my mouth right now, when I woke up, it was extremely painful and took a while to settle down. I had to take a pain pill.

But once that kicked in, I was feeling much better. Had leftover lentil soup from yesterday for lunch. That soup was exponentially better the second day, by the way.

And my sweet husband took care of dinner. Rotisserie chicken with a side of peas and mushrooms, and a glass of carrot juice. I didn’t think I’d be able to eat it, and I don’t know if it was the pain pill (which should have mostly worn off by then) or significant improvement in my condition, but I ate it. Every. Bit. (Except the chicken skin.)
